Animation Storyboard Revisionist

Location: North Hollywood, California (Onsite/Hybrid)

Reports To: Lead Director / Story Team

Position Summary

The Storyboard Revisionist is responsible for the storyboard after the Storyboard Artist’s pass is complete. They will be responsible for revisions, which include addressing notes, doing acting passes, adding hookups and extra poses, cleaning up rough drawings, ensuring characters are on model, as well as adding action notes for screen and animation direction. 

This role works closely with the episode and lead directors, as well as the production team. The ideal candidate is a strong artist with an eye for composition, performance, detail, and the ability to execute a show’s design style.

• Proficiency in collaborating with multiple parties

• Strong action and emotional, character-driven storytelling.
• Strong staging, composition, and cinematography skills.
• Strong draftsmanship, demonstrated ability to draw on-model and in a three-dimensional setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a union animation environment (e.g., The Animation Guild)
• Understanding of episodic or feature animation post pipelines
• Experience with animation workflow, design guides, and production requirements of an animated show
• 1–3 years of experience in an art based position, or animation position

Compensation

• $2,223.20 per week (union rates apply - The Animation Guild)

Work Environment

• Fast-paced, collaborative production environment
• Hybrid or onsite depending on studio needs
• May require extended hours during peak delivery periods
