2D Game Artist
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated 2D Game Artist to join our development team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong portfolio demonstrating versatile art skills and a passion for high-quality, narrative driven games.
Professional experience is a plus, but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and create concept art for characters, environments and props that align with the artistic vision and specifications of our project
- Create renders for 2D props and designs to be used in-game
- Ensure assets meet creative specifications and vision
- Collaborate with the project lead to implement a consistent visual style
- Collaborate with 3D artists to ensure that the final deliverable meets project requirements and standards
Requirements:
- Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of concepting and 2D work
- Experience in creating and designing concept art based on given specifications
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Procreate, Affinity, GIMP or other raster editors
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Not required but a huge plus:
- Knowledge of 3D modelling or related fields
- Knowledge of the Unity game engine
- Bachelor’s degree in Art, Graphic Design, or related field
