2D Animator

Job Description

EvolX Games is looking for a talented and passionate 2D Animator to join our team and bring characters, gameplay, and game worlds to life through expressive and engaging animation.

🎬 What You'll Be Doing:

1. Create high-quality 2D character, gameplay, VFX, and UI animations.
2. Create frame-by-frame and cutout animations for games.
3. Animate characters, creatures, props, and game assets.
4. Work closely with artists, game designers, and developers to bring concepts to life.
5. Maintain a consistent animation style across the project.
6. Iterate and polish animations based on gameplay requirements and feedback.

🛠️ Requirements:

1. Strong portfolio showcasing 2D animation, preferably for games.
2. Good understanding of timing, spacing, anticipation, squash & stretch, and other animation principles.
3. Proficiency in tools such as Spine 2D, Adobe Animate, Toon Boom, Photoshop, or similar.
4. Understanding of game animation pipelines and sprite-based animation.
5. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced game development environment.
6. Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating polished game experiences.

✨ Bonus — Nice to Have:

1. Experience with Spine 2D and Unity.
2. Knowledge of 2D VFX animation.
3. Basic understanding of gameplay and game development.
4. 2D illustration or character art skills.
