2D Character Animator

Job Description

JAM is seeking skilled 2D Character Animators to join our fantastic team for an upcoming 2D animated preschool TV production. This position is due to start Early September 2026, with a contract running until December 2027.

What You’ll Do:

• Animate rigged models to create engaging, expressive, and relatable characters.
• Bring characters to life through dynamic expressions, poses, body language, and lip-syncing using Toon Boom Harmony.
• Collaborate closely with the Animation Supervisor, Leads, and Production Team to ensure your work aligns with the Director’s vision.
• Maintain consistency in style and quality while meeting production deadlines.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong experience with Toon Boom Harmony (essential).
• Solid understanding of animation fundamentals: character acting, timing, walk cycles, lip-sync, and storytelling.
• Keen attention to detail with problem-solving skills and the ability to take direction in a collaborative environment.
• Applications open to UK residents – This role is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland with flexibility for both in-house and remote work.
