About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented 2D Rigging & Vector Illustrator to help build and maintain our production asset library. This role focuses on creating modular character, prop, and environment assets for animation projects using Moho.
Unlike a traditional animator role, this position is centered around asset preparation, rigging, organization, and library development rather than shot animation.
Experience in Moho is highly desirable, but artists with backgrounds in Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate, TVPaint, Blender Grease Pencil, motion graphics, or similar 2D production pipelines are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Build modular character, prop, and environment assets in Moho.
- Create clean, efficient bone rigs and control systems for animation.
- Prepare artwork for rigging and animation use.
- Maintain and organize the production asset library.
- Update and improve existing rigs and assets based on production feedback.
- Work with supervisors and animators to ensure assets meet production requirements.
- Create reusable animation-ready systems that support efficient workflow across multiple projects.
- Document asset setup standards and follow established production guidelines.
- Assist in troubleshooting rigging and asset-related issues during production.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of 2D animation principles.
- Experience with digital 2D animation software such as Moho, Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate, TVPaint, Blender Grease Pencil, or similar tools.
- Good understanding of character construction, deformation, and rigging concepts.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow technical standards and naming conventions.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively within a remote team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience rigging characters in Moho.
- Experience creating reusable animation assets for television, games, or digital media productions.
- Familiarity with switch layers, smart bones, actions, and asset management workflows in Moho.
- Understanding of modular production pipelines and library-driven animation workflows.
- Experience collaborating with animators and production teams in a studio environment.
