Job Description

The Storyboard Supervisor is responsible for leading the  storyboard team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality storyboards that align with the  project’s creative vision. The Storyboard Supervisor/Storyboard Director works closely  with the Director and/or Supervising Director to execute the creative vision of the show  while working within the schedule and budget for the series.

  • Length of Project: July 2026 - February 2027
  • Compensation: $1943.5/wk - $2200/wk CAD, commensurate with experience and skill level
  • Hours per week: 40
  • Reports to: Line Producer, CCO, VP of Production
  • Work Location: 31 W 3rd Ave, Vancouver, BC V5Y 3T8
  • Format: Hybrid/Onsite (Candidates must be eligible to come into the Titmouse office in Vancouver)

*If the work for this position is performed within the geographical jurisdiction of the collective bargaining agreement, it will be covered by that agreement.

Knowledge, Skills and Required Abilities

  • Extensive experience as a Storyboard Artist, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role. 
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, shot composition and character emotion. 
  • Proficiency in storyboard software (e.g., Storyboard Pro) and familiarity  with animation production pipelines. 
  • Familiarity with animatics. 
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to give  constructive feedback and foster a positive team environment. 
  • Strong understanding of animation principles and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to oversee multiple episodes and solve problems in a fast-paced  environment. 
  • Positive attitude with the ability to be flexible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and gide a team of storyboard artists, ensuring that  storyboards are delivered on time, adhere to the project’s visual style,  and meet the director’s vision. 
  • Work closely with the director and creative leads to ensure that the  storyboards accurately reflect the tone, pacing, and emotional beats of  the script. 
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to storyboard artists, helping  them improve their sequences and achieve a high standard of work.
  • Collaborate with the director, animation team, layout artists and editors  to ensure that storyboards are effectively translated into the final  production.
  • Oversee and manage revisions based on feedback from the director of  production team, ensuring that changes are implemented efficiently and  are in line with the project’s direction. 
  • Maintain consistency across all sequences, ensuring smooth transitions,  character actions, and scene continuity throughout the project. 
  • Address any technical or creative challenges that arise during the  storyboard process, finding solutions that maintain the integrity of the  story. 
  • Assist in the presentation of storyboards to directors, producers and other  stakeholders, explaining creative choices and adjustments. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
