3D Environment Artist

Job Description
We are looking for a 3D Environment Artist for our next project to help strengthen our Art team during the production phase. You will report to the Lead Artist.
The team you will be working with consists of about ten people of varying levels of experience. You will be responsible for creating stylized 3D environments in Unreal Engine 5, in close collaboration with the Level Design, Lighting, Technical, and Concept Art teams.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Stylized 3D assets: modeling, shading and texturing for the creation of assets and their materials.
- Level Art: construction and dressing of levels in Unreal Engine in direct contact with the Level Designers to integrate the constraints of gameplay, level flow and readability of spaces, while guaranteeing a result that meets the artistic requirements of the project.
Profile Sought
We are looking for the following skills:
- A versatile profile, capable of managing an environment as a whole rather than an isolated element.
- Ability to build and dress levels in Unreal Engine, taking into account gameplay, readability and level flow constraints.
- Ability to work in a team and independently, to prioritize tasks and to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate your ideas clearly, to synthesize discussions and to apply instructions accurately.
- Critical and humble mind, accepts and gives feedback, brings new and innovative ideas and approaches.
- Good knowledge of image composition, lighting, and color theory.
- Sensitivity to stylized art directions and the ability to understand and adapt to them in accordance with the art concepts.
- Good command of modeling tools (Blender, Zbrush).
- Knowledge of lighting is highly valued.
- A good understanding of shaders is a plus.
It is not necessary to meet all the criteria to apply. Candidates with career changes are also accepted.
Additional Information
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract position available as soon as possible, with the possibility of a 6-month extension.
Depending on your profile, you may be asked to complete a 2-day test if your application is successful.
The remuneration takes into account the SNJV barometer, and our internal salary scales.

The position is based in our offices in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, on the first floor of a building with stairs and no elevator; our other offices are on the ground floor. The building currently lacks wheelchair access and accessible restrooms.
The position primarily involves working on a computer screen in an open-plan office, as part of a project team, with no travel required. It may involve regular interaction with the Art and Design teams, as well as periods of increased workload depending on the production stage. Working hours are fixed, Monday to Friday.
