Job Description
Position - Storyboard Supervisor
11 month contract , Studio Based
We are looking for an experienced Storyboard Supervisor to join our team. This position is an excellent opportunity to work on a beloved series.
This person will be a key member of the creative team and will work with the other key artistic leads to help create quality pre-school content for audiences.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience is required
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Strong communication skills
- A good understanding of cinematography, staging & visual language
- Passion for storytelling
- A desire and ability to lead, mentor and motivate a team of Storyboard Artists
- An ability to work collaboratively & efficiently in a fast paced quality driven team
- Proficient in Storyboard Pro.
Responsibilities
- To supervise and lead the storyboard team on a day to day basis. Ensuring artists are briefed, having regular work in progress reviews & are working towards delivering the strongest output in time available.
- To help set and maintain the story, camera, boarding rules within the storyboarding team
- Establish a clear and workable pipeline for the delivery of the storyboards to the edit, from first passes through to retakes.
- Participate in sequence kickoffs with other Department Leads.
- To work in conjunction with the Art director to clarify new location designs best suited to the story and storyboard needs, to fit into and expand the existing world.
- To be involved in our various storyboard passes, from beat board to clean poses, helping to refine and clarify the storytelling points, compositions and poses of the scenes.
- Liaise with the production department to ensure deadlines are kept and quotas are fulfilled
