About us

We are Fool’s Theory, a company from Bielsko-Biała in Poland, creators of the game Seven: The Days Long Gone and The Thaumaturge.

We are actively seeking skilled individuals to join our team to work on an unannounced project developed in cooperation with CD PROJEKT RED.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering high quality 3D characters from existing concept to final in-game assets, including sculpting, modeling, texturing and engine implementation.
  • Collaborating closely with Character Lead, Concept Artists, Animators and Technical Artist to achieve artistic and technical goals.
  • Maintaining consistency with the project’s visual style and quality standards.
  • Ensuring assets meet performance budgets and technical requirements.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of character art workflows and pipelines.
  • Participating in feedback sessions and iteration processes.
  • Helping establish and maintain character art documentation and best practices.
  • Working actively with production to estimate tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Troubleshooting visual and technical issues related to character assets.
  • Contributing to pushing the visual quality of the project.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in the full character creation pipeline, from blockout stage to engine implementation.
  • Strong artistic foundation, including understanding of anatomy, proportions, form, silhouette readability, color, value and material definition.
  • Strong proficiency with industry standard creation tools including ZBrush, Maya (or other DCC equivalent), Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter.
  • Solid understanding of PBR workflow.
  • Previous experience working on an AAA or AA title.
  • Ability to independently plan your own work on the created assets, searching for references.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to work in a group.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
