We’re hiring: Senior Background Artist (5+ years experience)

CCC is looking for a specialist to define the visual landscapes of our upcoming global releases. As a senior background artist, you won’t just be drawing; you’ll be mentoring the next generation of talent and ensuring our storytelling environments are nothing short of world-class.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality background illustrations aligned with project style and direction.
• Interpret layouts, storyboards, and briefs into finished background art.
• Ensure consistency in lighting, perspective, and environment design.
• Adapt to different styles (anime, webtoon, semi-realistic, etc.).
• Collaborate with production team, artists, and clients on revisions.
• Review and refine background outputs for quality and accuracy.
• Optimize files for production (layering, resolution, format standards).
• Support development of internal art guidelines and pipelines.
• Mentor junior artists and provide technical/artistic guidance.
• Assist in building portfolios and sample assets for business development.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in background art for animation, games, or illustration.
• Strong understanding of perspective, lighting, color theory, and composition.
• Proficiency in tools like Photoshop, Clip Studio, or equivalent.
• Experience working with anime-style or production pipelines is a strong advantage.
• Ability to follow direction while maintaining artistic quality and efficiency.
