3D Artist

Job Description
We are developing Cities: Skylines II, an ambitious simulation game with unprecedented scale and detail. We are looking for a 3D Artist to help us build this living, breathing world. You will play a key role in creating the assets that define our urban landscapes on PC and console. Alongside a passion for outstanding game visuals, you should be able to adapt your personal style and workflow to meet the unique architectural and environmental requirements of the Cities franchise.
What you will be doing:
- Create high-quality 3D assets from start to finish, including modeling, texturing, UV mapping, and animation.
- Integrate assets into Unity, ensuring they are correctly set up and look great within the massive scale of Cities: Skylines II.
- Collaborate closely with the Art Director and the technical team to maintain visual consistency and follow established workflows.
- Optimize assets to ensure they meet the performance standards required for a deep simulation without sacrificing visual appeal.
Requirements:
- Strong 3D art portfolio showing a good grasp of form, texture, and realistic environments.
- Proficiency in Blender, including modeling, texturing, and animation.
- Understanding of modern game art pipelines, including PBR texturing and modular asset creation.
- Relevant experience in the game industry, with a solid understanding of how assets function within a game engine.
How to stand out from the crowd:
- Practical experience working within the Unity engine (e.g., shaders, materials, or scene setup).
- A keen eye for urban design, infrastructure, or realistic building structures.
- Experience with technical art, scripting, or improving art pipelines.
- Experience working with external partners or documenting workflows for team use.
Our office is located within a walking distance from downtown Tampere. Due to the highly collaborative nature of the work, we expect you to be able to work at the office.
If you think that this description matches you, we highly encourage you to apply as soon as possible as we will interview candidates continuously. If you don’t match all the requirements, please demonstrate how your passion, attitude and interest in Iceflake and Paradox might compensate for this.
