Storyboard & Animatics Artist (2D)

About the Role

This is a remote (Work From Home) role for a Storyboard & Animatics Artist (2D) based in Kerala. You will be responsible for creating storyboards and 2D animatics that act as the visual blueprint for our 3D animation team. In addition, you will also create standalone 2D animated cartoon videos for kids' content. You will work closely with our creative team to bring scripts and audio to life through engaging visuals.

Artist’s Location: Candidates based in Kerala are preferred.

Requirements

What You'll Do (3D Pipeline Support):

• Storyboarding & Animatics: Translate scripts and song concepts into clear, structured 2D animatics for the 3D team.
• Camera & Staging: Plan camera angles, framing, and scene transitions.
• Character Expression: Define poses, acting, and facial expressions as a guide for 3D animators.

What You'll Do (2D Animation Content):

• 2D Animation Production: Create standalone 2D cartoon videos for kids.
• Musical Timing: Sync animation with nursery rhymes, dialogue, and background tracks.
• Character Animation: Animate expressive character motion, acting, and storytelling sequences.

Must Haves:

• Strong storytelling skills (composition, framing, pacing).
• Ability to create clear animatics with proper timing and shot flow.
• Solid 2D animation skills (timing, spacing, character acting).
• Understanding of cinematography (shot types, transitions, continuity).
• Ability to convert scripts into both animatics and final animation.
• Must be residing in Kerala.
• Portfolio/showreel (animatics + 2D animation work).

Preferred:

• Experience with Blender Grease Pencil or other 2D animation tools.
• Degree/diploma in Animation, Fine Arts, Film, or related field.
• Experience creating kids' cartoon content.
