Job Description

Not Doppler is seeking an experienced 2D Artist (3+ years of relevant experience) who has keen interest in vehicle and weapon design. The role will be focused on a brand new game in the Earn to Die franchise, with a focus on developing art for all the different vehicles and weapons in the game. Previous titles in the Earn to Die series have generated in excess of 170m downloads globally.

We anticipate the duration of the contract may require up to 6 months of work to complete all deliverables.   We will consider candidates on both a full-time or part-time basis depending on the applicant’s situation. 

This role is fully remote and open to candidates globally. Candidates based in Sydney, Australia may have the option to also work from our offices in the CBD. 

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates with:

  • 3+ years experience contracting or full-time work as a 2D Artist, with a portfolio that demonstrates this breadth of experience.
  • Ability to produce high-quality 2D art assets, with a keen eye towards hard-surface items.
  • Interest in producing art for cars, vehicles, weapons or similar hard-surfaces. 
  • Ability to produce artworks using clean line-art and semi-realistic painting art styles.
  • High proficiency with Photoshop.
  • Good understanding of 2D art pipeline in a video game setting.
  • The ability to maintain a consistent style across assets
  • Great communication skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • A passion for games 

Bonus skills, but not required:

  • Experience with Unity (or experience with other game engines)
  • Knowledge of zombie, survival and apocalyptic games and media
  • Understanding of 2D Games Animation pipelines
  • Some experience in using 3D software such as SketchUp, Blender, etc.
