2D Artist (Mid-Level)

Job Description
Not Doppler is seeking a 2D Artist (Mid-level) to join our team. The role will be focused on a new game in the Earn to Die franchise, with a particular focus on scenic background elements and environmental prop production. Previous titles in the Earn to Die series have generated in excess of 170m downloads globally.
This role is suitable for Mid-level candidates, with competitive pay based on experience.
The role will be offered as a 12 month contract (parental leave backfill), where you will be a full-time employee, including superannuation and leave entitlements.
The role is located in our Sydney CBD office, close to Town Hall and Gadigal Metro stations.
Requirements:
We are seeking candidates with:
- Ability to produce high-quality 2D art assets, with a keen eye towards hard-surface items and environment design.
- Ability to produce artworks using clean line-art and semi-realistic painting art styles.
- High proficiency with Photoshop.
- Good understanding of 2D art pipeline in a video game setting.
- At least 3+ years experience as a 2D Artist
- The ability to maintain a consistent style across assets
- Great communication skills and a high level of attention to detail
- A passion for games, and an interest in survival/shooter/zombie themed games
- Experience with Unity (or experience with other game engines)
Bonus skills, but not required:
- Experience with UI Art
- Understanding of 2D Games Animation pipelines
- Some experience in using 3D software such as SketchUp, Blender, etc.
