2D Animator

Job Description
style: blend of primate economics and bill wurtz (simple + funny)
Requirements
I don't care where you went to school, what studio you worked for, or if your portfolio makes Disney wet. I care about one thing:
Can you take a script and make it funny using poorly drawn monkeys?

If you can, you're hired.
Animation Style
Drawing style + animation needs to be crude, effortless, and extremely simple like this: https://youtu.be/MAvHgmewRDM?si=vudtKE7jgEJTbQ6r
Pacing + humor needs to be fast and absurd like this: https://youtu.be/xuCn8ux2gbs?si=FmfrNDVBqhs6Lbua
In short: draw like Primate and humor like Bill Wurtz.
The Deal
- Pay: It depends on your skill. If your animation and humor requires little to no revisions, then your pay increases. We agree on the rate before you start, paid bi-weekly, and your pay increases as the channel grows.
- Hours: Work whenever, wherever. Just hit your deadlines.
- Communication: 100% Discord. Zoom is for people with receding hairlines.
- Benefits: None (yet). We are three people on the internet.
What a typical gig looks like
Most videos are <5 minutes long. Here is the process:
- we send you the script + voiceover
- you animate a few scenes a day
- post updates, get feedback, and tweak stuff
- keep going until it’s done
- get paid
How to apply
We don’t do interviews, review portfolios, or ask questions. None of that.
Instead you'll do a short test animation. It shows us exactly what you can do, and you get to see if you like animating in our style.
If you pass, we'll pay you for the test and proceed from there.
That's literally it.
I try to be as upfront as possible. If something feels off, walk away. I'm not here to steal 10 seconds of your animation.
If you’re still interested, fill out the form below. Please be patient, we get a 💩ton of applications.
