Overview
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Junior 2D Artist to join our team and work on our catalogue of mobile apps. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in 2D art creation
using the Adobe Suite, with a passion for gaming and a desire to grow within the industry.
Knowledge of Unity, Animation techniques and AGILE methodology are a bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Artwork Creation: Design and produce 2D art assets, including characters, backgrounds, props, animations, and UI elements that align with the game’s vision.
- Concept Development: Collaborate with senior artists and designers to develop concepts based on project requirements.
- Feedback Iteration: Revise and refine artwork based on feedback from the team to ensure high-quality output.
- Asset Integration: Assist in integrating 2D art assets into Unity, ensuring they function correctly within the game environment.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain consistency in style and quality throughout all art assets produced.
- Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in 2D art and mobile game design.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere) for creating and editing digital artwork.
- Strong understanding of basic artistic principles such as composition, color theory, and visual storytelling.
- Strong drawing and design skills• Ability to create diverse styles of 2D artwork, from cartoony to more realistic approaches.
- Knowledge of Unity for Asset integration is a plus.
- Knowledge of art optimization for games.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Capacity for handling several tasks at the same time and from different stakeholders.
- An interest in games for younger audiences.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant work (characters, environments, UI designs) is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience or internships in game art or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with animation tools or techniques (e.g., basic knowledge of After Effects, Harmony, Animate or similar software) is a bonus.
- A degree or coursework in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Game Design, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working in an Agile environment, as well as using Jira, Slack, Float, Teams and Office for work management and communication is a nice to have.
