Peekaboo Animation is growing! We are looking for a talented and passionate Lead 2D Cut-Out Animators specialized in Adobe Animate to join our creative family. You will be working on our exciting new series Wild Kat, creating high-quality, engaging content for kids and youth audiences worldwide.

PLEASE NOTE: This role requires you to be fiscally based in Cataluña, Spain. While we are open to remote work arrangements, candidates must be fiscal residents of Cataluña or be willing to relocate.

About the Role
As a 2D Cut-Out Lead, your primary responsibility will be being our animation supervisor's right hand and help her and the team bring our characters to life using Adobe Animate. You will be tasked with leading and assisting the team to meet our weekly quota, as agreed with the Animation Director. This role is crucial to our production pipeline and will also involve working hands-on to ensure every scene meets our high standards of quality. We value a proactive and solution-oriented mindsets. What You'll Be Doing
- Thoroughly study the animation style of the production and the director's brief for each scene.
- Follow the creative and technical direction of the Animation Supervisor and the Production Director to meet both artistic standards and production deadlines.
- Review animation to ensure work meets standards and act as a first point of contact for the animation team.
- Proactively communicate any challenges or progress updates to the production team.
- Create high quality animations for characters, creatures and other assets as time allows.
- Help address all notes and retakes with precision, maintaining the quality and style of the show.
- Follow all established studio procedures, including file naming conventions and asset management.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional studio experience as a 2D Character Animator.
- Strong proficiency in 2D cut-out animation using Adobe Animate.
- Alternatively, expert-level professional experience in Toon Boom Harmony with a strong portfolio in cut-out and a demonstrated ability to transfer your skills to an Adobe Animate pipeline.
- A solid understanding of the core principles of animation (timing, spacing, posing, etc.).
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.
- A keen eye for detail and a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Experience with production tracking software like ShotGrid (formerly Shotgun) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English, French is a plus.
- Must be a fiscal resident of Cataluña or willing to relocate (we do not require you to be on-site in Barcelona, but you must reside in Cataluña)
- Must possess the legal right to work in Spain.
- Estimated timeline: ASAP - December 2026.
