Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior 3D Environment Artist (Unreal Engine) to join our talented team here at our Toronto Studio. The successful candidate will create allocated environments and props for the designated show, in line with the workflow and pipeline needs and to a consistent style and the quality level required. This is a short-term contract opportunity with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality 3D environments and assets to include terrain, architecture, foliage, props, and set dressing.
  • Utilise Unreal Engine and Autodesk Maya to construct and refine environments for optimal performance and visual quality.
  • Collaborate closely with the art team to ensure environments align with artistic vision and production requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to environment creation and integration.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Unreal Engine features and industry’s best practices.
  • Working to maintain the Brown Bag environment pipeline. Developing environment modelling workflows and techniques.

Key Requirements

  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of the overall 3D asset creation pipeline and workflow; set dressing and instancing; previz asset to modelling workflow. Look development skills for Environments a big plus!
  • Experience: (Essential) Proven experience as a 3D Environment artist in TV, film, or related industries with Industry software, including using Unreal Engine. Strong knowledge of Autodesk Maya.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to optimize assets for performance without compromising visual quality. A strong portfolio showcasing environment work in Unreal Engine.
