Volmi — A Virtuos Studio is an outsourcing company that specializes in game development and game content creation. Over the past 9 years, we have successfully completed over a thousand different projects and have gained considerable experience in creating 2D and 3D art, as well as developing turnkey games. Since 2022, we have been a part of Virtuos, the world’s leading game developer, and have become the first Virtuos studio in Eastern Europe.
In particular, we have contributed to the development of popular games such as Diablo 2: Resurrected, Metro Exodus, Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, Smite, Paladins, Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, and Marvel Snap. Responsibilities
- Work with the Art Director and other stakeholders to create high-quality character assets, such as hairstyles, beards, mustaches, and eyebrows;
- Take into account feedback from the Art Director and other stakeholders and iterate accordingly;
- Participate in art team meetings and provide constructive input and support to the art team.
Qualifications
- Experience working on high-level projects;
- Proven knowledge and hands-on experience in creating realistic real-time hairstyles using GS CurveTools and, if needed, xGen + manual techniques;
- Full proficiency in several major 3D and 2D software packages (such as 3DS Max or Maya, Photoshop) and techniques for character and creature development;
- Deep technical understanding of modern pipelines, workflows, and hair grooming methods;
- The ideal candidate can faithfully reproduce an approved concept design and elevate it to a polished, production-ready 3D asset;
- Self-motivated and diligent, with strong task-tracking habits and the initiative to seek out solutions when needed;
- Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to receive, interpret, analyze, and implement feedback and direction from the Art Director and other stakeholders;
- A team player who is receptive to the iterative nature of game development and willing to take on a variety of roles beyond daily responsibilities when the need or opportunity arises.
