2D Concept Artist (Background/Character)

Picsodian Studios is on the lookout for a talented 2D Concept Artist to join our growing animation team. If you have a strong knack for visual storytelling, love crafting unique worlds, and can design characters or backgrounds with personality, we’d love to hear from you!
Our upcoming animated series is fast-paced, humorous, and cinematic, with a visual style inspired by Gravity Falls meets Subway Surfers, a vibrant, playful, yet cinematic approach that brings characters and worlds to life in a bold and memorable way.
What You’ll Do:
- Create high-quality concept art for characters and/or backgrounds based on scripts and creative briefs.
- Develop turnaround sheets, expression sheets, and style explorations to guide the animation team.
- Work closely with the creative director and storyboard artists to establish a consistent visual style.
- Translate ideas and scripts into engaging, visually dynamic concepts.
- Deliver polished artwork within deadlines in a fast-moving production pipeline.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a 2D Concept Artist (portfolio required).
- Strong understanding of color theory, anatomy, perspective, lighting, and composition.
- Ability to adapt to a style inspired by Gravity Falls and Subway Surfers.
- Proficiency in tools like Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, or equivalent digital art software.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate and take feedback.
- Availability to start immediately and commit to production timelines.
