Storyboard Artist

Job Description

The Storyboard Artist will translate approved scripts and designs into detailed storyboards that allow Directors and Producers to visualize and evaluate episodes prior to production. This role requires strong drawing skills, a good understanding of cinematic storytelling, and close collaboration with the creative team to ensure the narrative is effectively conveyed.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Directors to understand the script’s mood, theme, and narrative requirements.
• Illustrate storyboards that plan scenes, camera angles, and action continuity.
• Create fully-timed animatics compiling storyboard sequences for review.
• Revise storyboards based on feedback from Directors throughout production.
• Ensure storyboard visuals align with approved designs and maintain consistency.

Requirements:

• Proficient in Photoshop and Toon Boom Storyboard Pro.
• Strong drawing ability with creativity and an eye for new visual perspectives.
• Basic understanding of camera cuts, composition, and staging principles.
• Able to follow direction accurately and adapt work based on feedback.
• Capable of working efficiently under tight deadlines.
