We are looking for driven and talented Storyboard Artists to create compelling, clear and endearing stories that match the style and aesthetic of the series, and support and elevate the production as a whole, on a socio-emotional, curriculum based, musical, preschool show with a lot of heart. We’re looking for people that can cultivate and enhance preschool age emotional performances, body language, and nuances in a variety of situations and limitations, with appeal.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the script and production team to capture the spirit of the production in a visual manner
- Have a strong understanding of what each storyboarded scene entails for the design and animation departments that follow, and storyboard with the finished animation in mind.
- Create compelling realistic, preschool appropriate visuals that capture the essence of every scene and drive home the emotions and clarity throughout.
- Submit work throughout the process for feedback, receiving revision notes on panels that need to be modified
- Address both internal and external revision notes to ensure that the quality and style of the show are consistently achieved
- Complete work quickly at an advanced level within (or prior) to the deadline given
- Proactively communicate problems and issues early on and provide solutions when possible
Key Requirements
Required Experience/Professional Skills:
- 4+ years of experience as a Storyboard Artist on an animation production
- Superior knowledge of Toon Boom Storyboard Pro and have a valid license for Storyboard Pro v20 or higher (we'll be using v24 in studio)
- Manage timelines ensuring work is delivered on schedule
- Ability to work remotely, organize and multi-task
- Ability to quickly and effectively illustrate in any style required
- Proven and Effective communication skills both written and verbal
