Our illustrators create memorable artwork of exceptional quality, emphasizing storytelling, strong drawing fundamentals, and painting consistency. This application serves as an open database for freelance illustrators. It is not tied to a specific in-house project, but rather allows us to assess talent and resources as needs arise.
Your Role
As a Senior Illustrator, you will work closely with Art Directors and Art Leads across multiple projects to deliver top-tier illustration work that aligns with narrative and storytelling goals. You will have the necessary tools, feedback, and support to excel in your role.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an open and adaptable mindset to work on a variety of projects, adjusting to different styles, scopes, and creative directions as needed.
- Create high-quality illustrated work that meets Envar’s artistic and storytelling standards.
- Collaborate with peers, provide constructive feedback, and strive for artistic excellence.
- Work closely with the Art Director to streamline and improve the craft across multiple projects.
- Have excellent communication skills to effectively translate artistic vision into clear, actionable tasks.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in Illustration for the Entertainment industry.
- Strong grasp of art fundamentals, visual storytelling, and color theory.
- Proven ability to paint or draw in a variety of art styles.
- Experience owning and effectively communicating about projects and workflow.
- Persistent self-education around innovations in the creative field.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
- Great organizational and time management skills.
Bonus Points:
- Experience in Visual Development or world-building for games and film.
- A strong passion for games and game development.
